Tesla Prepares EV Launch in Thailand with Job Openings
For the very first time, Tesla is thinking of launching its electric vehicles with a lot of people hiring in Thailand. It's been a while since the Tesla company has become a brand new market.
For many years, the company was trying its best to enter the Asian market, but all the efforts ended at the start of the year after the negotiation with the government stalled.
After some weeks, we came to know that the Tesla team has turned its attention to Southeast Asia, especially Thailand. The first indication of their new team entering the market was when the automakers filed to register the products for sale in the country.
Now, Tesla is stepping up its efforts as it has posted 16 job openings in Bangkok, Thailand. The free job slot is from service advisor to store manager, including several managerial positions in order to expand its market in the country.
One more clue that the company is entering a new market is if the automaker is preparing to open a Supercharger in said market.
As the new Tesla team hasn’t officially entered the country yet, still you can see some of the Tesla vehicles in Thailand, pointing towards making a new market. Those vehicles are imported privately by the owners.
Now considering, that if so many people are taking the responsibility to go through the trouble of importing vehicles, then there is a high chance that there is a market in the country.
Many people don't realize how important the Thai auto market is. Last year, there were more than 750,000 cars sold in the market, and that number is expected to rise this year from 800K to 900K. These vehicles, however, are much more expensive than Tesla vehicles.
Lastly, Among Southeast Asian countries, Thailand will be the first to sell Tesla's cars officially.
