Polestar 3 Electric SUV Launches at $85,300
Polestar finally unveiled its first electric SUV on 12th October. Polestar 3 has been launched with premium features such as active dampers, and torque vectoring. The active damper feature has made this a good competitor of other SUV Electric vehicles. It will be manufactured at Volvo's factory in Charleston, South Carolina.
Polestar 3 will reach its customers in the fourth quarter of 2023. The new electric SUV stands in the luxury class with a price tag of $85,300. Moreover, the unique features of Polestar 3 help it stands out against other EVs, these features include,
- Capable of 379 miles of range with 111kWh battery pack
- Goes from 0 to 62MPH in 5 seconds with a 483HP dual motor system.
- Include a semi-autonomous driving system for highway driving
- Safety protection with cameras, radar, and ultrasonic sensors
The interior processing power is significantly more. It has 14.5-inch infotainment with a “next generation” Snap dragon cockpit Platform. This is Polestar's first model to have a NIVIDIA Drive computer for the driver assist feature.
The Plus Pack and regular Pilot Pack included in the model brings features like 25-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system. It also provides a heads-up display and driver assist for highways and parking.
The Polestar 3 comes with a rear-biased dual-motor powertrain and electric torque vectoring, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride. The ride is controlled by a dual-chamber air suspension and active dampers.
There is also an optional performance pack that provides,
- 510 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of torque
- Polestar Engineered chassis tuning to provide active dampers and air suspension
With the launch of Polestar 3, the company has started a new chapter. The company is underway to target a wider audience with its Polestar 5 and Polestar 6.
